Dennis Chighisola is a 40+ year veteran of the game, having grown up, played and then coached in and around the hockey hotbed of Boston, Massachusetts.
Dennis possesses a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Education & Coaching, plus a Minor in Instructional Media (mainly for his video work), his certification is as a Master Coach with USA Hockey, and he's studied all over the hockey world, including at the Moscow Institute for Sport and Physical Culture in the former Soviet Union. (To this day, The Coach says those studies put him 15-years ahead of most others when it comes to physiology and training for specific physical traits -- like speed, quickness, agility and explosive strength.)
A noted author, video producer, seminar speaker and inventor, his training manuals have been purchased by NHL teams, and his unique training methods have been borrowed by top coaches from around the world.
A long time high school and college head coach, "Coach Chic" has also directed some of the largest hockey schools and skills clinics in the northeast, with at least 20 of his former students reaching the NHL, and hundreds more making it to other levels of pro and college hockey.
Today, Dennis does much of his work on the Internet, advising other coaches, hockey parents and players through websites like CoachChic.com.
Coach Chic has just recently relocated to Kissimmee, Florida, to be a Special Consultant & Scout with the Daytona Beach Blaze Juniors.
So, it's with great excitement that he wants to offer his services to those in the surrounding communities. He has a lot to share with developing players, and he's eager to help them get where they want to go.
